• People for the American Way - Founded in 1980 to monitor and counter the divisive agenda of the Religious Right political movement, People For the American Way is working to build a movement grounded in values that define what is best about our country. It includes a section on challenges to American education.

• Freedom Forum Online - Nonpartisan, international foundation dedicated to free press, free speech and free spirit for all people. The foundation focuses on four main priorities: the Newseum, First Amendment issues, newsroom diversity and world press freedom.
