At the annual WLMA conference in 2005, WLMA decided to honor all Teacher-Librarians that are certified and meet the credentials of the new WAC code, now RCW language. Seventy-five Teacher-Librarians applied and received a certificate.
* It is a "thank you" for your hard work from the organization.
* It is a public certificate to share with your school community.
* It is a measure of excellence. We want all Washington State students to have a Teacher-Librarian in their school.
* It reflects the qualifications of the new RCWs.
Annually, WLMA plans to give certificates at the fall conference. Each year the Teacher-Librarian needs to apply in order to receive the certificate that year. It is your decision if you want a certificate each year. Often a change in administration is a good time to receive a new one to display and share with them.
This is an honor certificate from WLMA and you must be a current WLMA member to receive one
