
The scholarship was established in honor of Mrs. Laura Hahn, former high school librarian in Enumclaw. Her commitment to the field of school librarianship and her dedication to her work with students and teachers provided an inspiration to all who knew her.
The applicant must have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
Be a resident of the state of Washington.
Be able to meet the requirements for a graduate program in a school of librarianship or school of education with specialization in school media. This can include National Board Certification.
Plan to serve at least one year in a school library in the state of Washington.
Complete all parts of the General Scholarship Application.
In a word-processed document include the following information:
If you are attending graduate school, which graduate school are you attending?
List which classes, if any, you have completed toward the graduate degree.
State how you plan to complete your library program: summer sessions, online, or other method.
Describe your educational and professional goals in approximately two to three hundred words.
At the end, sign and date this documents.
Submit the General Scholarship Application with the information requested above to the Scholarship Committee:
