
WLMA and Mackin Library Materials Washington Teacher Librarian Collaboration Award recognizes a teacher-librarian and a classroom teacher whose collaborative efforts improve student achievement.
Any WLMA member and classroom teacher partner are encouraged to apply.
Requests for nominations/applications will be announced in various WLMA print and electronic publications, as well as publications of partner organizations.
Applications will be active for two years
Applications will include:
A narrative cover sheet that describes the purpose, goals, and outcomes of your collaboration.
Two letters of support from peers or administrators.
A description of your collaborative efforts that may include:
Division of labor
Journal of collaborative meetings
Print and electronic resources that were used in instruction
Other
Evidence of the impact on student learning, that may include:
Examples of student work
Video of lessons, demonstrations, student projects, etc.
How student success was measured

It is important that the application include a contact name, phone number, e-mail address, and complete mailing address. Faxed or e-mailed grant materials will not be accepted. Selection
A committee of WLMA and Mackin will select the winner
The winner will be announced to WLMA, the teacher's professional organization and to OSPI
The winner will be notified by email on or before October 1, 2007
The teacher librarian and the teacher will each recieve $300 ( total $600 team) and the winning school recieved $250 certificate for Mackin products to further collobaration and a team plaque
The winning team will be expected to attend the WLMA conference and awards lunch on October 12, 2007
The winning team will provide a concurrent session at the next year's WLMA conference and/or the teacher's professional conference
The winning team will write an article for WLMA's MEDIUM publication and it may be also used in Mackin Library Media print or online publications
